D.A.E. Originals began in 1992 re-dressing Barbie in reproductions and one-of-a-kinds, some of them based on the works of famous designers.

In 1997 D.A.E. Originals entered the Gene doll market redressing her in one-of-a-kind and limited runs of vintage fashions. Having always wanted to create an original fashion doll, Vivian the Miniquin was created in 2002.

In 2005 she received a new face and body sculpt and was joined by her beau Monty the Miniquin. After a hiatus of several years, Vivian and Monty have returned along with the classic fashions of the past, which D.A.E. Had always been known for. While their face sculpts remain the same, these lucky dolls just never age! Their bodies are now fully articulated to allow an infinite variety of natural poses.
