The Flower Fairies collection from R John Wright is based on the Flower Fairies books by Cicely Mary Barker published in 1923. Primrose has brown eyes with white accents. She has honey blonde hair that is curled at the ends into waves and held back by a burnished gold cloth headband. Her dress has a green bodice with vertical seams and darker green airbrushing; the skirt is yellow with golden airbrushing with a scalloped "petal" edge. She is wearing green tights with yellow silk slip-on shoes. Her silk organza fairy wings are attached to the back of her dress and have brown airbrushing and orange dot accents, similar to a butterfly's wings. She is holding 2 yellow and green felt flowers in her hands: one is a bud and the other is fully open. The flower bud has a green felt leaf that is scalloped on the edges and has yellow and dark green airbrushing.
Her paper tag is attached to the top of her yellow dress skirt; below is the RJW gold button.
The doll has her original certificate of authenticity and is number 120 of 250 pieces. There is also a small insert about the Cicely Mary Barker drawings.
The doll comes well-packaged in a light green box decorated with silver lettering. NOTE: There is a finger smudge on the lid end. Please see picture with the COA. The packaging appears as if it was never touched. I suspect the doll was never removed from its box until now. The box has its white outer protective cover.
