We are pleased to present the sixth piece in the charming series of costumed mice based on the Olde Mother Goose nursery rhymes illustrated by Kate Greenaway. Jack & Jill each measure a diminutive 3" tall. They are designed in mouse form of the finest mohair plush and jointed at the neck and shoulders. Jack & Jill feature realistic coloring, German glass eyes, inset whiskers, resin hands and feet, and fine leather tails. Built-in metal stands provide effortless display for this charming couple.
From the original English nursery rhyme of the same name, Jack & Jill are costumed in true Kate Greenaway fashion. Jill wears an Empire-waist frock made of fine custom-dyed cotton batiste. On her head she wears a tiny bonnet sewn of mini natural straw braid trimmed with pink silk ribbon. Jack is outfitted in a custom-dyed cotton smock of the period with authentic pleating at the front and tiny buttons down the back. He is accessorized with a wool felt hat. Between them, Jack & Jill hold a hand carved and hand painted miniature wooden bucket as they start up the hill on their ill-fated venture! This is the first paired set of mice ever offered by R. John Wright.
