Annette was born and raised in Germany and moved to the United states in the 1980s. In the 1990s she started making modern reproduction dolls and acquired a great appreciation and love for antique dolls. She received Masters and Grandmasters certifications for antique reproductions. These dolls are her favorite companions to her one of a kind original artist dolls. After these accomplishments, Annette started sculpting and learned a variety of sculpting techniques from industry masters. Her original porcelain dolls debuted in 2001. Erika was her first doll nominated for the DOTY Industry Choice Award. In the years that followed, she has been honored with many DOTYs and Awards of Excellence. With a preference for this medium, Annette created her first fully articulated porcelain BJD Moki in 2018.

Luna is her first all resin BJD and was introduced at the 2019 Modern Doll Convention. Every Luna is painted and costumed by Annette as a OOAK or very small limited edition.
