This special souvenir "Little Miss Vermont" was
presented to attendees of the opening event for the R. John Wright
"Treasures in the Attic" convention.
This charming 8" little farmer's market girl is made
entirely of wool felt with five-way ball and socket jointing. Her hand painted features give her a wide
eyed googlie expression. Her darling
hairstyle of braided 100% mohair is contained by a cotton print scarf. Cotton
underwear and slip are worn under the hand dyed cotton "peasant
cloth" dress. On her feet are
sturdy red leatherette garden clogs with embossed treads. The carrots that she proudly holds are made
of felt and artfully airbrushed. Her
rake is hand made of wood and painted with enamel and metallic coloration.
"Little Miss Vermont" is appropriately named being made entirely in Vermont at the R. John
