The third mouse in the series is Mammy - the beloved House Servant of Scarlett O'Hara. Actress Hattie McDaniel became the first African-American to win an Oscar in 1940, for her unforgettable portrayal of "Mammy" in Gone With The Wind.

Mammy is made of fine custom-dyed mohair plush with hand embroidered features, resin hands and feet, glass eyes, inset whiskers, and a leather tail. Mammy is authentically costumed in a black servant's dress tailored of cotton broadcloth with a crisp white collar and cuffs and a custom-made brooch at her neck. She wears an cotton batiste apron and traditional bandana around her head. Under her skirts, is a ruffled petticoat made of scandalous red silk! Bonnnie Blue Butler is a 8 1/2" all-felt doll with ball & socket joints at the hips, shoulders and neck for expressive posing. A sculptural torso and limbs and separately sewn fingers add to her realism. Bonnie has a wig made of the finest mohair and a lovely molded felt face with delicately hand painted features.
